Commute

Frustrated with the oil spill got me thinking about how much gas I use and it was a lot. My commute to work is about (60miles drive every day) so I decided to so something about it, I will start to take public transportation to work :)
I did it today and it wasn't bad at all!
I got a chance to SEE the city because, when I drive I never get a chance to really look around, also i got some quiet time and a chance to catch up on my reading.

Life & Death necklace

Today I found a cool little antique store with really good prices & tons of cool little stuff! the Vintage Station in Gresham. After a quick chat with the owner who was really nice I got a tiny frame went home did a little bit of drawing a bit of painting a bit of welding and ta-da I have a new necklace.

Oh oh! I also found an ampersand stamp :) and i used it to do the backside of the necklace.

Leather cuff bracelet II

I need more leather cuff bracelets so I made this one out of a scrap piece leather :)

Razor blade

I got this new material to make stamps and it's basically a big eraser it was less expensive than the Speedball High Quality Linoleum Blocks I was previously using. I went ahead and came up with a simple design just to test the new material, something really simple with lots of straight lines and a few curves but, it didn't come out good I felt like I was carving jell-o the block it's too soft and it's really hard to control the blade and make exact slices. Oh well... I'll just use the rest of it and maybe next weekend I'll go back to my regular linoleum blocks.

Granola Bars

Ok so this post is a bit out of the ordinary but,this is what i made today!
I decided that having donuts for breakfast is not a good thing for me so I made granola bars because, why should I buy what I can make right? They came out good a bit crumbly but I blame it on the raisins.
If I make them again I'll probably use almonds instead of raisins .

Leather

Today I got a few pieces of scrap leather, and I made a leather bracelet and stamped it with my &death stamp, I think it came out good :)






Also I had a tiny piece of leather I got last year and found this on a blog so i decided to give it a try, I will give the little elephant to my nephew.

Late night craving

This was the last piece of linoleum I had, I'll try to get another block this weekend. The squid was much more difficult to cut than I expected, definitely not my my best stamp :)
