At waterfront park

I spent the day downtown going to galleries and I found "All the apparatus"playing right in the middle of Saturday market! They were really good and energetic, you could see it in their faces that they were having a really good time :) after that i spent a good chunk of the day laying on the grass :)

Today I discovered this cool looking thing, i don't know what it's called but I think it's used to alert the public when there is a major emergency, really cool :)

and this yellow cloud was neat too :)

Another bird

Heavenly Donuts

Absolutely no time at all to do a painting tonight :(
All I did was take this two pictrues as the sun was going down about 8:30 pm, this is one of my favorite times during the day because the light is really pretty, full of different shades of orange, blue, gray etc.

Water fountain

I really felt like jumping in this water fountain today and the weather was only on the low 80's :) & tomorrow it's supposed to be on the 90's!

I also found an ampersand! I really have to either gather up all the pictures I have of ampersands or simply go out and take some new ones (that might be easier (: )
The good thing is that I started to look for them again after seeing Felicitys post (ampersands post)

(I sprayed too much water on the paper when I was almost done and nearly ruined all the colors! uggg)

Distracted

I got an itouch today and I can't put it down so im afraid I won't be painting or making stamps or anything else tonight but hopefully tomorrow i'll get something done :)

Just a walk

Spent the day downtown looking for a new messenger bag

I went to the mall and didn't find anything,



then I went outside and found "Sand in the city" but for some reason they had the place all taped off and you couldn't really get close to the sand :( last year and years before there was much more sand and you could walk around.


Then i found a water fountain, after this I hit a couple of art galleries and wished I had hundreds of dollars so I could buy some of the art.

finally I got on the train and went back home (without a new messenger bag :(

Fortune telling birds

The idea is to pay one peso to have a bird come out of the colorful cage and pick a card, the card has your fortune; Love, money, health etc.
(I always felt bad for the birds)

Miranda

I recently found a pretty lady named Miranda. I found her at a yard sale and im really happy I did! She is unpredictable, only will have things her way and she is quite a looker. What i like most about her is that I never know what she is going to give me but most of the times is really awesome stuff :)

Raspados/Scraped Ice (Mexican snow cone:)

I finally got an Ice shaver to make Raspados!
I made coconut flavor syrup and it's delicious :)

To make raspados you need:
-Ice shaver (sold in some mexican stores)
-Block of ice
-Flavor syrups (I made one with sweetened condensed milk, regular milk and coconut, mix it all together and put it on top of your raspado.)

My favorite Summer treat :)

Day off

Laying on my hammock until sunset. That's my idea for a perfect day off :)

kaleidoscope

I have been thinking about kaleidoscopes all day, I must get one. Trying to recreate what one does is really difficult, and the results are no where near what a real kaleidoscope can do.

Sandy river

Soon the Sandy River will be packed with people & Jacks will be selling a lot of icy refreshments :)
